Your music and preferences

Mornye is a local music player. It copies music and artwork that you choose to import into its private library. Song metadata, lyrics, favorites, playlists, custom covers and settings stay on your device. Mornye does not require an account and does not upload your library to the publisher.

If you choose a music source folder, Mornye saves its name and an operating-system access bookmark locally so you can scan it again. Scanning happens when you request it. Disconnect Folder in Library Settings removes the saved folder access without deleting imported songs or original files.

Learning from listening

When Learn from Listening is on, Mornye uses listening progress, song choices, repeats and skips to personalize Daily Sessions and AutoPlay on your device. Raw listening events are retained for up to 90 days and are limited in size; aggregate preferences remain until you reset them. Turning learning off stops new learning. Settings → Reset Listening Profile deletes the local history and learned preferences without removing music or playlists.

Network connections and casting

Ordinary playback and recommendations work without a network connection. When you open the audio output picker, Mornye can discover Cast devices on your local network. When you choose a receiver, the selected audio and its title, artist and album are sent to that receiver. A temporary local streaming address is revoked when playback is replaced or casting disconnects. Keep Mornye open while casting local files. The receiver and its manufacturer may have their own privacy practices.

AirPlay is handled by the operating system. Opening an external support or privacy link uses your browser. Contacting support uses your email app; only information you choose to send is included. Do not include private audio files or sensitive information unless you intend to share them.

No advertising or tracking

Mornye contains no advertising, analytics SDK or tracking identifier. The publisher does not receive listening history, device usage or diagnostics automatically. Apple may handle store purchases, system diagnostics and device backups under Apple's own settings and policies.

Retention, backups and deletion

Imported files remain until you remove them from Mornye. Removing a song deletes the app's copies and its playlist references; the original file you imported is not changed. Deleting a playlist does not delete its songs. Local library recovery copies contain library metadata. The app's files may be included in operating-system backups you enable; Mornye does not provide a separate cloud sync service.

On iOS, deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app can retain data. On macOS, removing the application alone may leave its library in your user container. You can remove songs inside the app and reset the listening profile before uninstalling. Operating-system backup copies are managed through that system's backup settings.

This website

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, cookies or a mailing-list form. Its fonts, artwork and scripts are served from the website itself. The hosting provider may process standard connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site. Those practices depend on the hosting configuration.

Choosing a contact link opens your email app. Only the information you choose to send is shared with us. Links to external download stores are subject to the store’s own privacy practices.
